If you have been in Good Bodies on an early Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday morning, you've no doubt noticed a tall, athletic, and quietly hard working young lady. That's Abby Bougher. She's been with us a little over a year and a half, and in that time has made great progress. Abby originally came to us to get in better shape and lose her "baby body". Under the watchful eye of her trainer and nutritionist, Alyssa Broadwater, she has made great changes to her body composition. The balanced combination of cardiovascular work, strength training, and changed dietary habits has allowed her to lose fat while gaining muscle. Throw in all-important consistency and you have a winning combination!
How has personal training improved your life?
I am stronger than I have ever been! My resting posture has improved dramatically. I feel good about myself for choosing to be healthier.
What do you like best about Good Bodies?
#1- People are friendly
#2- It's a studio, not a typical big-box gym. Never super crowded. Clients on the floor are working with a trainer.
Do you have a special word or comment about your trainer?
Alyssa is professional, engaged, and prepared. She always asks how my body is feeling and adjusts the work out accordingly.
What has been your biggest obstacle to success? How did you and your trainer overcome it?
Myself! My trainer makes me accountable.
Favorite Exercise: Timed hanging from a cross bar ( helps develop shoulder and core stability)
Least Favorite Exercise: "Anything" Lunges!!
Favorite phrase/expression you, or your trainer, uses when working together:
Hmmm... not sure we have one. We talk about gardening and vegan cooking though!
